Big day for Healy '26 as men's lacrosse wins fourth straight on the road

Senior scored three goals and added three assists for his most points since April 2, 2024

WATERVILLE, Maine – Hamilton College's Thomas Healy '26 set season highs with three goals and three assists in the Continentals' 18-10 NESCAC win against the Colby College Mules at Colby's Bill Alfond Field on Saturday afternoon, March 21.
 

Season Update

  • Hamilton (4-3, 2-2 NESCAC) extended its win streak to four games.
  • The Mules (2-4, 0-4) were coming off a 19-4 win against Clark University on March 17.
 

How It Happened

  • Colby's Eli Chilicki opened the scoring with 8:36 left in the first quarter, but the Continentals notched the next three goals and led the rest of the way. Ryan Olivo '28 tied the score with 7:21 remaining, Frank Coyle '26 made it 2-1 with 5:00 to go, and Maddux Little '27 scored the third goal 66 seconds later.
  • After Chilicki cut the Mules' deficit to one with 2:56 left, Hamilton ran off six straight goals for a commanding 9-2 lead late in the second quarter. Coyle had two of the goals during the run.
  • Colby pulled within three goals on two occasions late in the third quarter (at 10-7 and 11-8), but didn't get any closer.
  • Carson Kraus '28 made it 12-8 with nine seconds remaining in the third and the Continentals put the game out of reach with four goals in the opening four minutes of the fourth quarter.
  • Hamilton led 4-2 after one quarter, 9-3 at the half and 12-8 through three quarters.
 

Notes

  • Healy's six points were his highest total since he had eight in a win against Middlebury College on April 2, 2024.
  • Coyle tied a career high with four goals.
  • Little finished with a season-best three goals.
  • Finn Vaccaro '29 posted three points on two goals and an assist. He leads the Continentals with 10 helpers and 19 points.
  • Charlie Boon '29 chipped in a goal and two assists for a season-high three points.
  • Olivo ended up with a pair of goals and leads the team with 11.
  • Andrew Higgins '28 had a big game as he won 18-of-27 faceoffs, scooped up six ground balls, scored a goal and assisted on another. Higgins has won 42-of-58 faceoffs the last three games and has all three of his career points in the last two contests.
  • Kraus contributed a goal and an assist and has a nine-game point streak dating back to last season.
  • Jesse Delinsky '26 scored his 44th career goal and picked up his 20th career assist.
  • Jack Williams '28 made 14 saves.
  • Riley Chai-Onn '27 caused a career-high four turnovers and collected four ground balls.
  • Evan deBerjeois '27 gathered a career-best five ground balls.
  • Chilicki paced the Mules' offense with four goals. JT O'Neil won seven faceoffs and grabbed four ground balls.
  • Hamilton enjoyed big advantages in ground balls (37-22) and faceoff wins (19-12).
  • The Continentals have won the last six meetings with Colby.

Hamilton hosts Ithaca College (5-3) for a non-conference contest on Tuesday, March 24 at 4 p.m.
