MELBOURNE, Fla. – Hamilton College's
Nikki Dyche '28 tallied six hits in the Continentals' games against the Central College Dutch and the UMass Boston Beacons at the USSSA Space Coast Complex on Thursday, March 19. Hamilton fell to Central by a score of 4-3, and rallied to defeat the Beacons, 9-7.

- Hamilton (3-5 overall) has won three of its last four in Florida.
- Central (13-1) went 10-0 at the Space Coast Spring Games.
- UMass Boston (5-3) dropped both of its games on Thursday after winning its previous three in Melbourne.

How It Happened
- With two outs and nobody on in the top of the first, Dyche hit a double to left center, then Miranda Mosqueda '28 drove her in with a double to right field.
- Following a leadoff walk in the bottom of the first, the Continentals turned a double play on a line drive to Alison Zorn '26 at third base.
- Central loaded the bases in the bottom of the second, and all three runners came around to score following a base hit by Jackie Sledden and a Hamilton error. Central extended its lead to 4-1 in the third.
- Hamilton loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the sixth as Dyche ripped a single down the right field line and Mosqueda and Lydia Mirabito '26 both drew a walk. With two outs in the frame, Alexis Mayer '26 drove in Dyche and Mosqueda with a pinch hit single to right center and trimmed the deficit to 4-3.
- Lauren Farace '29 drove a single through the right side in the top of the seventh, Dyche smashed a double to left field and Mosqueda was intentionally walked to load the bases with one out. Central's Peyton Levine got a strikeout and a fly ball to secure the 4-3 win.

- Dyche scored two runs and went 4-for-4 at the plate with two doubles to register a new career high in hits.
- Farace recorded two hits.
- Mosqueda reached base four times with the help of a double and two walks.
- Gaby Guerra '27 added a base hit and a walk.
- Ali Henry and Larissa Miller both registered one hit and one run for the Dutch.
- Farace pitched all six innings for Hamilton.

How It Happened
- Yael Everett '28 ripped a leadoff single then stole second base in the bottom of the first. Mayer poked a two-out single to center field and drove in Everett for a 1-0 lead.
- Kelsey Vadnais '28 led off the bottom of the third and launched the Continental's first home run of the season to double the lead.
- Mosqueda and Dyche delivered back-to-back doubles with two outs and extended Hamilton's advantage to 3-0.
- The Beacons put up six runs in the top of the fifth with the help of a two-run triple by Mary Matthews and a two-run double by Hayley Krockta.
- The Continentals responded with six runs in the sixth. Mayer led off the frame with a triple, and Jess Chieco '29 drew a walk. Mayer crossed the plate on a double steal, and Hadley Rogers '26 drove in Chieco with a double to right center. Zorn and Dyche both added RBI singles later in the inning.
- Farace got the final three outs to collect her second win of the season.

- Farace went 2-for-2 at the plate, while Dyche finished with two hits and two runs batted in.
- Mayer provided two hits, one run and one RBI.
- Mosqueda recorded a team-high two runs and drove in another.
- Eight different Continentals crossed the plate.
- Vadnais' home run was the first of her career. She has recorded at least one hit in her last four games played.
- Everett started in the circle and completed 4.2 innings of work. Farace tossed 2.1 innings in relief.
- Matthews tallied two hits, two runs batted in and one run scored for the Beacons.
