DAVENPORT, Fla. – The Hamilton College Continentals tallied a season-high 19 hits in a 14-6 win over the Springfield College Pride at the Northeast Regional Park on Thursday evening, March 19.
Season Update
- Hamilton (2-5 overall) has set a new season high in hits in back-to-back games. The Continentals recorded 16 hits during a 16-3 win over Knox College on Tuesday, March 17.
- Springfield (8-4) dropped to 2-3 in Florida.
How It Happened
- Springfield struck first in the top of the third as Michael Lepere launched a two-run home run to right field.
- Hamilton answered with seven runs in the bottom of the frame. Taylor Kaufman '26 brought in Ethan Righter '27 with a sacrifice fly, Satish Raichur '28, Lucas Herman '26 and Alfonso Rada '27 delivered three consecutive RBI singles, and Gianni DiCerbo '27 smashed a two-run double to left center.
- The Continentals tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the fourth for a 10-2 advantage. Herman drove in Kaufman with a double to right field, and scored on a base hit to left field by Rada. DiCerbo then brought in Herman with a sacrifice fly to center field.
- Michael Tallarida '26 and Raichur both provided RBI doubles in the fifth, then Anthony Palumbo '29 drew a bases loaded walk later in the inning and extended the lead to 13-2.
- Chester Boynton '27 scored on a wild pitch in the sixth to make it 14-2.
- Springfield cut its deficit to single digits with four runs in the top of the seventh.

- Raichur went 4-for-6 with three runs and two RBI.
- DiCerbo went 3-for-3 with one walk, one run and a game-high three runs batted in.
- Boynton finished with three hits and three runs, while Herman tallied three hits, two RBIs and two runs.
- Rada added three hits, two RBIs and one run scored.
- Ryan Tonghini '28 made his first appearance on the mound this season and collected his first career win after tossing 2.2 innings in relief with three strikeouts.
- Tanner Quinn '27 made his first career start for the Continentals.
- Kyle Egidio '27 recorded three strikeouts in 2.0 scoreless innings in relief.
- Brady Search recorded four strikeouts in 2.0 scoreless innings in relief for the Pride.
- Lepere finished with two hits, two runs and two runs batted in.
