UTICA, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals finished first in five track events at Utica University's non-team scoring Pioneer Fast Trax Invitational inside Hutton Sports & Recreation Center on Saturday, Feb. 14.
Ava Chiappinelli '29 led the effort as she tied the team record in the women's 60-meter dash with a winning time of 7.90 seconds. Cat Berry '19 was the last Hamilton runner that posted that time back on March 1, 2019.
Tatiana McCray '28 finished in first place and qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) indoor championships in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.22 seconds. McCray also finished fifth in the finals of the 60 meters.
Emmeline Stoetzel '28 led the field athletes. Stoetzel leaped to second place in the long jump with an AARTFC-qualifying performance of 5.33 meters (17 feet, 6 inches).
The Continentals compete in Cornell University's Kane Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 21.
