Isabel Harvey '28 scored both goals and
Nieve Tonna '26 posted the shutout in the Continentals' 2-0 NESCAC win against the Bowdoin College Polar Bears at Hamilton's Love Field on Saturday, Sept. 27 during Homecoming Weekend.
Season Update
- Hamilton (3-3-2, 1-3-1 NESCAC) played at home for the first time in three weeks.
- The Polar Bears (4-2-0, 1-2) had won their previous three matches.
How It Happened
- Hamilton owned a 10-3 shot advantage in the first half, but just one of those 10 were on goal.
- In the 47th minute Hamilton's Maddie Buck '27 threw the ball in from the deep left sideline to Taryn Gillis '26, who made a smooth move and brought the ball back to her right side. Gillis found Harvey with her back to the net, and she redirected the pass into the lower-right corner of the goal for the 1-0 lead.
- The Continentals went up 2-0 in the 70th minute. Lila Sullivan '29 made a great leading pass from just beyond midfield to a streaking Harvey, who bodied her defender to gain possession. Harvey got the shot past the goalkeeper, but it hit the left post and rebounded right back to her where she finished it off for her second goal of the contest.
Notes
