CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College scored a goal in each quarter and the Continentals coasted to a 4-0 non-conference win against the St. Lawrence University Saints at Hamilton's Goodfriend Field on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Season Update
- The 18th-ranked Continentals (4-1 overall) won their third straight game.
- St. Lawrence (3-3) dropped its third in a row.
How It Happened
- Alden Duserick '27 put Hamilton on the scoreboard with 4:48 left in the first quarter. Sammy Higgins '26 played the ball into the arc from the left side and it bounced around until Duserick controlled it. She moved a little closer to the cage and took a backhand shot that snuck inside the right post.
- Brooke Bilodeau '27 made it 2-0 with 11:36 remaining in the second quarter. Bilodeau received a pass near the 25-yard line on the right sideline, carried the ball deep into the arc from the right wing and chipped a shot into the back of the cage from close range.
- Becky Felker '26 made it a three-goal advantage 2:37 into the third quarter. Higgins moved the ball quickly through the middle of the field and passed it towards the end line near the left post. A teammate deflected the pass and Felker settled the ball before smacking a backhand shot past the goalie.
- Lilly Truchon '26 completed the scoring with 6:02 to go in the fourth quarter. Truchon was the injector on a penalty corner and the ball eventually worked its way to Isabelle Nahon '27 at the top of the arc. Nahon wristed the ball towards the left post and Truchon, who positioned herself in front of a defender, swept the ball under the goalie's pads and into the cage.
