Men's lacrosse drops NESCAC contest at Wesleyan, Heher '25 scores five

Higgins '28 won 13 faceoffs and scooped up six ground balls for the Continentals

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Wesleyan University scored the first five goals and the Cardinals led the whole way in their 17-13 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Wesleyan's Citrin Field on Saturday, April 12.
 

Season Update

  • Hamilton (5-7, 3-6 NESCAC) has one win away from home this season.
  • The seventh-ranked Cardinals (8-3, 6-2) won for the third time in their last four games.
 

How It Happened

  • Wesleyan had a 5-0 advantage within the first six minutes and led 7-1 after one quarter. Hamilton didn't get closer than four goals the rest of the afternoon.
  • The Cardinals were up 12-5 at the half and 16-10 after three quarters.
 

Notes

  • Will Heher '25 topped the Continentals with a season-high five goals.
  • Thomas Healy '26 chipped in three goals, an assist and four ground balls. He leads the team with 24 goals and 41 ground balls.
  • Justin Pearl '25 dished out a career-best three assists.
  • Jesse Delinsky '26 and Ryan Olivo '28 registered a goal and an assist apiece. Olivo has all seven of his points this season in his last three games.
  • In his first career start, Milo Trabulsy '25 scored his third goal this season and caused two turnovers.
  • Maddux Little '27 notched his fifth goal and Carson Kraus '28 recorded his 10th.
  • Andrew Higgins '28 established season highs of 13 faceoff wins and six ground balls.
  • Jack Raba led Wesleyan with eight points on three goals and five assists.
  • CK Giancola scored five goals, Ben Burns recorded three goals and two assists, and James Bailey had a goal and four helpers.
  • Tyler Campbell won 17-of-23 faceoffs, and Conor Selfridge made 11 saves.
