Women's swimming and diving ends up 15th in 200 free relay at NCAA meet

Miner '27, Matthias '26, Blessey '26 and Lan '28 were the members of the relay

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Hamilton College Continentals finished in seventh place in the consolation final (15th overall) of the women's 200-yard freestyle relay in the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at Greenboro Aquatic Center on Thursday evening, March 20.
 
Hamilton posted a time of 1:34.36 in the consolation final. The Continentals, who were seeded 15th in the event with a team-record time of 1:33.87, finished ahead of Colby College (1:34.85).
 
Hamilton nearly lowered that team-record time in the morning's preliminary heats with a time of 1:33.93. The Continentals recorded the 14th-fastest time during prelims.
 
Carolyn Miner '27, Jade Matthias '26, Ashlyn Blessey '26 and Chloe Lan '28 were the members of the relay. Lan, who anchored the relay, had the fastest 50-yard split with a time of 23.13 seconds. The performance earned Hamilton four team points.
 
The Continentals are seeded 23rd in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:29.91. The 400 is the last event of the championship on Saturday night.
