Rutgers-Newark

How It Happened

  • After retiring the side in order in the top of the first, the Continentals took a two-run lead in the bottom half. A throwing error allowed two more runs to score for a 12-0 advantage.
  • Rutgers-Newark scored a run in the third, but the Continentals answered in the bottom half when Guerra singled in a run.
  • The Scarlet Raiders plated their final run in the top of the fifth before the eight-run rule went into effect and ended the game.
