MEDFORD, Mass. – Tufts University's Margie Carden scored five goals and the Jumbos cruised to a 17-5 NESCAC win over the Hamilton College Continentals at Tufts' Bello Field on Saturday, March 15.
Season Update

How It Happened
- Tufts' Allie Zorn scored two goals in a span of just 28 seconds less than two minutes into the first quarter.
- Maddigan Leifer '26 put the Continentals on the scoreboard with a free-position goal at the 9:36 mark of the opening quarter.
- The Jumbos responded with three consecutive goals and stretched their lead to 5-1 with 6:52 remaining in the second quarter.
- A Tufts player was sent off with a yellow card with 5:10 left in the second and Hamilton took advantage. Julia Lee '27 scored a woman-up, free-position goal with 4:17 to play.
- The Jumbos swiftly answered with two more goals and extended their advantage to 7-2 at halftime.
- Tufts dominated the third quarter with six goals and widened its lead to 13-3 heading into the final 15 minutes.
- The Jumbos struck again 38 seconds into the fourth quarter.
- Leifer answered with back-to-back goals and cut Hamilton's deficit to 14-5 with 8:08 left.

- Leifer recorded a season-high three goals and is tied for the team lead with six.
- Alex Orlando '25 tallied her fourth goal of the season.
- Lee scored her sixth goal of the season and had two caused turnovers and two draw controls. She leads the team with eight points.
- Carlisle West '25 and Grace Martucci '28 led Hamilton with three ground balls apiece. West caused three turnovers and Martucci caused two.
- Anna Zoccolillo '25 had two caused turnovers.
- Clara Paolucci made seven stops in goal for Hamilton.
- Carden added an assist for six points.
- Zorn finished with three goals and an assist.
- Kate Mastrobuono and Ella Lesperance dished out two assists apiece. Lesperance also scored a goal.
- Pascale de Buren tallied 10 saves for the Jumbos.
- Genna Gibbons won eight of Tufts' 20 draw controls.
- The Jumbos owned a 13-2 shot advantage in the third quarter.
