MEDFORD, Mass. -- Tufts University jumped out to a 10-point lead five minutes into the first half and the Jumbos led the whole way in their 84-69 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Tufts' Cousens Gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 8.

How It Happened
- The Continentals and Jumbos went back-and-forth early, with Tufts holding a 6-5 edge after a Teja Singh '25 three-pointer with 17:29 remaining in the first half.
- The Jumbos took off on a 28-6 run that spanned about 10 minutes and led 34-11 with 7:04 to go in the half.
- Tufts eventually extended its lead to 30 at 48-18 with 2:45 left in the half.
- Matthew Rideout '27 went on a personal 5-0 run -- hitting a three-pointer and a pull-up jump shot -- that made the score 50-25, but Hamilton trailed 52-25 at the break.
- In the second half the Jumbos eventually built their lead back up to 30 at 67-37 with 13:16 to go.
- The Continentals cut into their deficit with a 12-2 run and pulled within 69-49 with 8:55 remaining. Hank Morgan '25 scored nine points during the spurt.
- Hamilton continued to close the gap during the next five minutes. The Continentals trailed by 13 points at 77-64 with 3:58 left after a Morgan dunk, but didn't get any closer.

Notes
- Morgan recorded 31 points, seven rebounds and four assists. He leads the NESCAC with 22.4 points per game. Morgan is tied for 10th place on Hamilton's all-time list with 1,488 career points.
- Rideout scored 13 points, with 11 coming in the first half, in his first start since the second game of the season.
- Singh made three three-pointers and contributed 11 points.
- Jalen Reese '27 recorded a career-high four blocks and added three steals, leading all players in both categories.
- Scott Gyimesi's double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds led Tufts.
- Joshua Bernstein was 9-of-10 from the floor and finished with 20 points.
- James Morakis recorded 14 points and four assists.
- Hamilton shot better than 53 percent (16-30) from the floor in the second half.
- Tufts shot a scorching 67.9 percent (19-28) from the field in the first half.
- The Jumbos held a 40-28 advantage on the glass and outscored the Continentals 52-26 in the paint.
