AMHERST, Mass. – Amherst College's Cara Mancini tallied two goals and an assist in the Mammoths' 5-1 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Amherst's Orr Rink on Friday, Feb. 21.
Season Update
- Hamilton (11-10-2, 6-7-2 NESCAC) is in fifth place in the conference standings with one game left in the regular season.
- Amherst (17-5-1, 10-4-1) is ranked sixth in the USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll.
How It Happened
- Amherst took a 1-0 lead 9:24 into the first period on a power-play goal as Emily Hohmann found the net from above the right faceoff circle near the blue line.
- Hamilton evened the score with 4:42 left in the first. Grace Long '27 sent a perfect centering pass to Abby Weiss '25 who fired a wrist shot up and over the left shoulder of goaltender Natalie Stott.
- The Mammoths regained the lead with 58.4 seconds remaining in the period, capitalizing on a loose puck in front of the net.
- Amherst scored again 3:22 into the second period and stretched its lead to 4-1 with 8:37 left in the period.
- The Mammoths netted their fifth and final goal on the power play 7:53 into the third period.

- Weiss recorded her fifth goal of the season.
- Katie Allen '26 passed out her fourth helper of the season.
- Long handed out her second career assist.
