CLINTON, N.Y. – Tufts University's Gustave Bylin made 35 saves and the Jumbos held on for a 2-1 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink on Friday night, Feb. 14.
Season Update
- The ninth-ranked Continentals (15-5-1, 11-3-1 NESCAC) have two losses and a tie during their current homestand.
- Tufts (9-10-1, 7-8-0) has allowed just two goals in its last three games. The Jumbos have won four of their last six contests.
How It Happened
- Tufts scored twice within a span of less than three minutes in the second period. Brennan Horn broke the ice 5:39 into the second, and Harrison Bazianos made it 2-0 at 8:29.
- Hamilton finally got on the scoreboard at 2:08 of the third period. Justin Biraben '27 scored from the left faceoff circle on a low wrist shot that snuck inside the right post.
- Liam Varmecky '28 almost tied the score with 6:23 left when his wrist shot from the point banged off the crossbar.
- The Continentals pulled their goaltender for a sixth skater with just under two minutes remaining. Hamilton had six shot attempts but three were blocked and Bylin stopped two others.

- Biraben scored for the first time since the second game of the season.
- Ben Zimmerman '26 picked up his 31st career assist.
- William Neault '25 collected his eighth helper this season and his 20th career point.
- Charlie Archer '25 turned away 22 shots.
- Ryan Sordillo '27 won 9-of-14 faceoffs.
- Horn and Bazianos finished with a goal and an assist apiece. Horn also won 10-of-16 faceoffs.
- The Continentals held a 36-24 shot advantage including 15-6 in the third period.
- Both teams were 0-for-3 on the power play.
- The Jumbos have two wins and a tie in their last three games at Sage Rink.

Hamilton plays their last home game of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 15 against Connecticut College (8-12-1, 6-9-0). Puck drops at 3 p.m.
