CLINTON, N.Y. – Bowdoin College's Sydney Jones dropped in 18 points and the Polar Bears posted a 66-50 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals on Hamilton's Coach Tom Murphy Court inside Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Friday evening, Jan. 31.
Season Update
- Hamilton (13-6, 2-3 NESCAC) dropped its third straight contest.
- Bowdoin (18-0, 4-0) is ranked 4th in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 poll and in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll. The Polar Bears are one of four unbeaten teams in Division III.
How It Happened
- The Polar Bears scored the opening basket and led 5-2 with 8:20 left in the first quarter.
- Althea Hill '26 drilled a corner three-pointer that tied the score at 7-7 with 7:22 remaining, and Kendall Harris '27 gave Hamilton the lead at 9-7 with a layup at the 6:14 mark.
- Bowdoin seized control with an 11-0 run and built an 18-9 lead with 3:38 left. The Polar Bears opened up a 26-14 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- The Polar Bears came out strong in the second quarter with an 11-2 run that pushed their lead to 37-16 midway through the quarter.
- Hamilton closed out the second with five straight points and cut its deficit to 16 at 45-29 heading into the break.
- Harris scored the first basket of the third quarter, but Bowdoin responded with an 8-1 run and extended its lead to 53-32 with 4:46 remaining.
- The Polar Bears held a commanding 62-36 lead at the end of the third quarter, and extended it to as much as 28 points early in the fourth.
- The Continentals outscored the Polar Bears 14-4 in the final 10 minutes.

- Taylor Lambo '26 led Hamilton with 12 points and nine rebounds.
- Harris added eight points and seven boards.
- Hill tallied seven points while Tessa Cole '25, Erica Hills '28 and Sam Glickman '25 contributed six each.
- Jones was 8-of-14 from the floor and added three steals.
- Melissa Leone chipped in 11 points off the bench on perfect 5-of-5 shooting.
- Callie Godfrey added eight points.
- Carly Davey contributed seven points, grabbed a team-best seven rebounds, and passed out four assists.
- Hamilton shot 34.7 percent (17-49) from the floor and went 13-for-20 at the line.
- Bowdoin was 25-of-45 (55.6 percent) from the field through the first three quarters and went a perfect 6-for-6 at the charity stripe.
- The Polar Bears' 14 steals helped lead to 18 points off turnovers.
- Bowdoin registered 38 points in the paint to Hamilton's 18.
