No. 14 women's hockey shut out at Oswego, Brown '27 makes 36 saves

Continentals had been unbeaten in their last five games (4-0-1)

OSWEGO, N.Y. – Oswego State's Shaye Jasiel scored with 12:45 left in the third period and lifted the Lakers to a 1-0 non-conference win against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Oswego's Deborah F. Stanley Arena & Convocation Center on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 6.
 

Season Update

  • Nationally ranked No. 14 Hamilton (4-2-1 overall) was unbeaten in its last five games, and the Continentals' only other loss was on Nov. 14.
  • The Lakers (6-3-0), who are members of the SUNYAC, received votes in this week's USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll.
 

How It Happened

Jasiel's game-winner was assisted by Helen Vandamme and Meagan Smith. Hamilton's Teagan Brown '27 had stopped a shot by Vandamme a few seconds before Jasiel scored.
 

Notes

  • Brown made 36 saves – her highest total since Nov. 23, 2024, when she had 37. She owns a 1.48 goals against average and .949 save percentage with 112 stops in four starts.
  • Grace Crowley '26 won 11-of-21 faceoffs and has won 53.8 percent this season.
  • Mia Devivo turned away all 19 shots she faced for the shutout.
  • Oswego held a 37-19 shot advantage.
  • Both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play. The Continentals had their second one midway through the third period after the Lakers took the lead.

Hamilton hosts Nazareth University (10-0-0) for another non-conference contest on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.
