HARTFORD, Conn. – Hamilton College's
John Wojciechowski '28 scored 41 seconds into the sudden-victory overtime period and the Continentals claimed a 4-3 NESCAC victory against the Trinity College Bantams inside Trinity's Albert Creighton Williams '64 Rink on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 22.
Season Update
- Nationally ranked No. 9 Hamilton (4-0-0, 3-0 NESCAC) picked up its third road win in eight days.
- Trinity (0-4-0, 0-4) posted a season high for goals but couldn't hold off the Continentals.
How It Happened
- In 3-on-3 overtime, Jackson Krock '26 ripped a shot that rebounded right to Wojciechowski, who stabbed the puck past the goaltender and gave Hamilton the victory.
- After no goals in the first period despite a five-minute major penalty on each team, Trinity opened the scoring 2:08 into the second on the power play. Culin Wilson brought the puck over the blue line and fed a cross-ice pass to Ryan Friedman, who put the puck into the roof of the net.
- Hamilton leveled the score a little less than four minutes later. Luke Tchor '27 had his shot saved but chaos ensued as the puck rebounded right in front of the net. Devon de Vries '27 eventually poked it in and Trinity earned a penalty for roughing during a scuffle that followed the goal.
- Trinity went back in front with 1:42 left in the second. Michael Sullo's behind-the-net pass found Dane Carter in the center of the offensive zone, and Carter snuck the puck past the Hamilton defense for a goal.
- With just 3.3 seconds remaining in the period, Tchor found de Vries who slotted it home for a power-play goal that tied the score at 2-2.
- Hamilton grabbed its first lead midway through the third period. Brendan Waivada '27 almost scored and Jacob Ierfino '27 poked in the rebound with 8:02 to go.
- With just over a minute to play in the third, a shot from the blue line by the Bantams rebounded right to Ryan Panico, who fired the puck into the back of net from close range and sent the game to overtime.
