ONEONTA, N.Y. – Hamilton College scored the first 19 points and the Continentals cruised to a 75-23 win against the Hartwick College Hawks at the 2025 Oneonta & Hartwick Classic inside SUNY Oneonta's Dewar Arena on Friday evening, Nov. 21.
Season Update
- Hamilton (4-0 overall) received votes in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Preseason Poll. The Continentals have scored at least 75 points in all four wins.
- Hartwick (1-3) has lost its last three after edging Oneonta in overtime in the opener. The Hawks are members of the Empire 8 Athletic Conference.
How It Happened
- Hamilton jumped out to a 19-0 lead in the first five minutes of the first quarter. Erica Hills '28 scored seven points and Taylor Lambo '26 added six during the run.
- Kylie Guarino finally put Hartwick on the scoreboard with a layup a little more than seven minutes into the quarter. The Continentals led 27-3 after the first 10 minutes. Hamilton made 11-of-15 shots from the floor including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc. The Hawks were just 1-of-15 from the field.
- The Continentals opened the second quarter with a 13-0 run and enjoyed a 40-3 advantage at the midway point. Maggie Kernodle '29 scored seven straight points during the spurt. Hamilton led 46-9 at the break.
- The Continentals went up by 40 points for the first time at 50-9 on a jumper by Kendall Harris '27 less than 90 seconds into the third quarter. Hamilton led 60-17 with 10 minutes to go.
- The Continentals scored the last 11 points over the final five minutes. A 3-pointer by Mia Semioli '29 gave Hamilton a 50-point cushion at 73-23 with a little more than two minutes remaining.
Notes
- The 23 points were the fewest allowed by the Continentals since Fisher College scored 20 on Dec. 2, 2023.
- The 52-point margin was Hamilton's largest since a 73-point victory against SUNY Canton on Nov. 16, 2019.
- Lambo led the Continentals with 14 points and nine rebounds. She tops the team with 12.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
- No Hamilton player was on the floor for more than 16 minutes.
- Kernodle made all three of her 3-point attempts and finished with 12 points.
- Hannah Bernstein '28 handed out a game-high four assists.
- Ryleigh Endres paced Hartwick with seven points and three steals.
- Hamilton shot better than 50 percent from the field for the second straight game as the Continentals were at 51.7 percent (30-58), including 8-of-16 from long range.
- Hamilton held a commanding 47-27 advantage on the glass.
- The Hawks shot 11.5 percent (6-52) from the floor and went 9-for-20 at the free-throw line.
- The Continentals have won the last eight meetings with Hartwick.

Hamilton returns to Dewar Arena on Saturday, Nov. 22 for a matchup with Oneonta (2-1) at 4 p.m.
