CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College's
Grace Crowley '26 and
Lydia Bullock '26 scored goals and the Continentals posted a 2-0 NESCAC win over the Trinity College Bantams inside Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink on Friday night, Nov. 21.
Season Update
- Hamilton (1-1-1, 1-1-1 NESCAC), ranked 15th in the USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll, began a four-game homestand.
- Trinity (0-3-0, 0-3) was shut out for the second straight game.
How It Happened
- Late in the first period, Sarah Myziuk '28 tracked down a loose puck near the right-side boards after a shot by Jamie Porter '28 was blocked. Myziuk slid a pass in front of the goal to Crowley, who redirected the puck into the net for a 1-0 lead with 3:26 left.
- After a scoreless second period in which Evie Sheridan '26 came up with five saves to maintain the one-goal lead, the Continentals doubled their advantage early in the third. Sophia Rodham '27 received the puck near the blue line in Hamilton's offensive zone with 16:28 left in the period and fired it towards goal. Bullock deflected the puck out of the air and redirected it inside the left post 3:35 into the period.
- Bullock found herself with another scoring opportunity less than 30 seconds later. Carly McMahon '27 gathered the puck in Hamilton's defensive zone and sent a pass to Bullock at the center line. Bullock made a quick move past her defender, skated towards goal and ripped a shot that was saved by Trinity's Madeline Carter.
- Hamilton forced Carter to make 12 saves during the second period. Eight different Continentals put a shot on goal during the period.
- The Bantams went on a power play with 2:10 remaining in the second period, but Hamilton prevented the visitors from putting a shot on goal during the two minutes.
Notes
- Bullock scored for the second consecutive game and blocked two shots.
- Crowley scored her first goal of the season and added an assist. She leads the team with three points this season.
- Rodham and Porter registered their first points of the season with one assist apiece.
- Myziuk has two assists in as many games played this season.
- Sophie Berghammer '26 and Bullock totaled a team-high four shots on goal apiece.
- Grace Puskar '27 won 12-of-16 faceoffs for the Continentals.
- Sophia Testa '26 recorded a team-high four blocked shots.
- Sheridan made her first appearance of the season and totaled 13 saves to collect the shutout. The shutout was the eighth of her career.
- Carter came up with 35 saves for the Bantams, including 14 in the third period.
- Hamilton is 9-2-1 in its last 12 meetings with Trinity.
