MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Hamilton College's
Lydia Bullock '26 and
Grace Long '27 scored goals in the Continentals' 2-2 NESCAC tie with the Middlebury College Panthers inside Middlebury's Chip Kenyon Arena on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 15.
Season Update
- Hamilton (0-1-1, 0-1-1 NESCAC), which is receiving votes in the USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll, was edged 2-1 by the Panthers on Nov. 14.
- Nationally ranked No. 4 Middlebury (1-0-1, 1-0-1) rallied from an early deficit for the second straight day.
How It Happened
- The Panthers won the opening faceoff but Bullock quickly got possession of the puck and scored just nine seconds into the first period.
- Peyton Kennedy evened the score 1:11 into the second period. Callia Ferraris and Kate Flynn had the assists.
- The tie lasted about two minutes. Teagan Brown '27 made a save for the Continentals and they went on the counterattack with Long making it 2-1 at 3:10 of the second. Sarah Myziuk '28 and Katie Allen '26 collected the helpers.
- Susannah Ward drew Middlebury even for the second time in the period on a power-play goal with 8:31 left. Avery McInerny and Olivia McManus picked up the assists.
- On Friday night the Panthers scored the game-winner with 3.5 seconds remaining and when they drew a holding penalty with 3:50 to go in the third period, they were hoping for more late-game magic. But Hamilton's penalty kill did its job and sent the game to overtime.
- Each team put only one shot on goal in an anti-climactic, five-minute overtime period.
- The Continentals won 2-1 in the shootout, which will be used for tiebreaking procedures at the end of the season when figuring out seeding for the NESCAC championship. Sophia Rodham '27 and Bullock converted their attempts for Hamilton.

- Bullock scored her 14th career goal with the Continentals.
- Long celebrated her first collegiate goal.
- Allen recorded her seventh career assist and Myziuk registered her third.
- Brown finished with 26 saves, including 11 in the third period.
- Grace Puskar '27 led Hamilton with four blocked shots. The Continentals posted 24 as a team.
- Middlebury doubled up Hamilton in shots, 28-14.
- The Panthers scored on one of their three power-play chances. The Continentals didn't have any power plays.
