CLINTON, N.Y. - Hamilton College's
Annabelle Semeter '28 sparked a second-quarter run that gave the Continentals a double-digit lead and they never looked back in a 79-62 victory over the Oswego State Lakers in the 2025 Hamilton Tip-Off Classic on Coach Tom Murphy Court inside Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 15.

Season Update
- Hamilton (2-0 overall) was the only team that went undefeated in this weekend's event. The Continentals, who received votes in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Preseason Poll, edged Salve Regina University 79-75 on Nov. 14.
- Oswego State (1-2), which competes in the SUNYAC, posted a 78-70 win against St. John Fisher University on Nov. 14.

How It Happened
- Semeter executed a clutch three-point play, draining her layup along with the following free throw, and put Hamilton in the lead for good with 5:48 to go in the second quarter. This started the Continentals' 18-2 run.
- Reagan Dowd '29 knocked down a 3-pointer and Taylor Lambo '26 followed with a layup off an assist from Hannah Bernstein '28. Zoe Myslewicz '28 added another layup and Bernstein buried a 3-pointer that pushed Hamilton's lead to 11 points with 2:43 left in the second.
- Hamilton's tenacious defense held the Lakers to only 10 points and forced six turnovers in the quarter. The Continentals went into halftime with a 40-28 lead.
- Hamilton maintained its double-digit lead the entire second half. Myslewicz anchored the defense in the third quarter, grabbing four defensive rebounds in the last four minutes.
- Semeter helped the Continentals close out the Lakers in the final quarter, scoring nine points and accounting for more than one-third of her team's points in the last 10 minutes.
- Hamilton set the tone early as Maggie Kernodle '29 made a layup and a pair of jumpers in the first quarter. A 3-pointer by Madison Aikens put Oswego State within striking distance at the end of the quarter, but the Continentals held a 20-18 edge.

- Semeter and Bernstein were named to the all-tournament team.
- Semeter shot 7-of-10 from the field and scored a career-high 17 points off the bench.

- Lambo filled the stat sheet with 11 points, five assists, two blocked shots and two steals.

- The Continentals out-rebounded the Lakers 46-37.
- Hamilton shot 45 percent (27-60) from the field including 38.5 percent (10-26) from 3-point range, while Oswego State was limited to 33.8 percent (23-68) shooting and just four made threes.
- The Continentals' largest lead was 20 points twice midway through the fourth quarter.
