WATERVILLE, Maine – The Hamilton College Continentals played well but couldn't find the back of the net against the Colby College Mules in a 0-0 NESCAC tie at Colby's Serdjenian Field on a sunny Saturday afternoon, Oct. 4.
Season Update
- Hamilton (5-2-3, 1-2-3 NESCAC) is unbeaten in its last four matches.
- Colby (4-3-3, 0-3-3) was shut out for the third straight match – all in conference play.
How it Happened
- Right from the start, this matchup was full of intensity with two yellow cards in the first 10 minutes and five for the match.
- Anthony Bugliari had Colby's only shot on target in the 27th minute, with Peter Montesano Scheibe '27 making a diving save to his left.
- Late in the first half, Troy Miller '28 almost scored on a header from a cross, but the ball hit the post.
- Patrick Ferrare '27 almost won the match late for the Continentals, but his close-range shot was saved by Colby's goalkeeper in the 89th minute.
Notes
- The Continentals outshot the Mules 9-7 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
- Hamilton has given up three goals in four away matches this season.
- The Continentals are unbeaten in their last four matches (2-0-2) against Colby with their last loss coming in 2021.
