CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College's 
Grace Seaman '29 hammered a season-high 13 kills and tied another season best with 10 digs in the Continentals' three-set win (25-16, 25-23, 25-21) against the Trinity College Bantams inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Friday evening, Oct. 17.
 
Season Update
	- The Continentals (5-9, 1-6 NESCAC) won back-to-back matches for the first time this season. Hamilton also swept Clarkson University at home on Oct. 11.
- Trinity (10-8, 1-6) has dropped three straight matches and five of its last six.
How It Happened
	- The Continentals jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the first set and never trailed. The Bantams were still within two points at 18-16, but Hamilton ran off the next seven and ended the set. Ayzlinn Trefren '28 started the run by bumping an attack attempt that landed in the center of Trinity's side for a kill. The Bantams sent an attack attempt wide left for an error on set point.
- There were seven ties, including four late, in the second set. Trinity went on an 8-2 spurt and took its first lead at 22-21. The Continentals trailed 23-22 but clinched the set by scoring the next three points. Maggie Nichols '26 had a quick hitter from the middle to the back-right corner that tied the score. Grace Jansen '29 smacked an ace and Kathryn Fox '27 spiked an attack attempt from the right side cross-court for the kill.
- The third set had 13 ties and four lead changes. Neither team led by more than two points until the Bantams recorded four in a row for a 17-14 advantage. Hamilton responded with an 8-2 run and grabbed a 22-19 lead. Seaman fisted an attack attempt that snuck over the net and put the Continentals in front for good.
- Trinity cut its deficit to one at 22-21 before Seaman took over. Seaman lobbed an attack attempt into the back row where one of the Bantams couldn't handle it, and followed that up with an ace. The match ended on a Trinity attack attempt that sailed well over the end line for an error.
Notes
	- Seaman registered her first double-double and reached double digits in kills for the third time in the last four matches.
- Elodie McGeiver '27 boasted a .375 hitting percentage with seven kills and just one error in 16 attempts.
- Jansen handed out a match-high 14 assists.
- Lucy Proud '29 chipped in 12 assists and served three aces.
- Caitlin Allen '27 led the defense at the net with four blocks. Allen is fifth in the NESCAC with 1.10 blocks per set.
- Fox and Nichols contributed three blocks apiece.
- Trefren topped Hamilton with 11 digs.
- The Continentals hit .216 (39-15-111) as a team compared to .113 (33-20-115) for the Bantams.

Hamilton plays its last home match of the 2025 season on Saturday, Oct. 18 against Connecticut College (10-8, 2-5) at 2 p.m.
