How It Happened
- With just under 10 minutes remaining, Giglio took a Hamilton corner from the left flag and served a cross that sailed over a crowd of players inside the six-yard box toward the far post. Cramer leaped and redirected the ball out of the air with her right foot into the center of the net.
- Amherst created the first chance less than 30 seconds into the match, as Caroline Coletti made a run into the right side of the Hamilton penalty area and ripped a right-footed shot that was saved by a diving Nieve Tonna '26.
- Hamilton held the advantage in shots on goal during the first half by a tally of 3-1.
- Lila Sullivan '29 sent a dangerous ball into the box on a Hamilton free kick from the left wing in the 50th minute, but Amherst goalkeeper Lulu Fickes (five saves) used both fists to knock the ball away.
- About a minute later, Hamilton's Isabel Harvey '28 sent a pass up the right channel for Sullivan, who carried the ball into the right side of the box and hit a right-footed shot that was saved by Fickes.
- Following an Amherst corner kick in the 77th minute, the ball bounced out to Brooke Ingemi, who volleyed a shot on frame that was caught by Tonna.
Notes
- Tonna recorded three saves for her third shutout of the season and the 10th of her career.
- Cramer scored in each of Hamilton's last four matches and has five goals on the year.
- Giglio collected her third assist, which is tied for most on the team.
- Hamilton has won four of its last five NESCAC matches.
- Giglio played the full 90 minutes for the 11th time this season.
