Men's hockey ranked eighth in USCHO.com Division III preseason poll

Continentals won 21 games and played in the NCAA quarterfinals last season

The Hamilton College Continentals were ranked eighth in the 2025-26 USCHO.com Division III Men's Hockey Top 15 Preseason Poll that was released on Monday, Oct. 13.
 
Hamilton has 25 of the 33 players back from last season's team that finished with a 21-7-1 record under the direction of Head Coach Rob Haberbusch, who guided the Continentals to a team-record 21 wins and their first New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title. Hamilton earned its second NCAA Division III championship appearance and advanced to the quarterfinals for the second time with a 4-2 win at University of New England in the first round.
 
2024-25 CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association Men's Division II-III All-America forward Luke Tchor '27 leads the returning Continentals. Tchor was the 2025 NESCAC player of the year and a member of the all-conference team with forward Jackson Krock '26.
 
Last season the Continentals scored 107 goals and allowed 55, and Hamilton finished with 350 more shots on goal than its opponents. The Continentals won 54.7 percent of their 1,875 faceoffs.
 
Hamilton kicks off this season with a NESCAC home game against Amherst College on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. and a non-conference road contest at SUNY Canton on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
