MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – The Hamilton College Continentals finished in 18
th place out of 24 teams in the 2025 Golfweek Division III October Classic at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort's Raven Golf Club on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Hamilton's four-person team total of 295 in Tuesday's final round was its best out of the three days as the Continentals finished at 895 for 54 holes. Nationally ranked No. 16 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor captured the team title at 847, Wittenberg University was the runner-up at 851 and No. 20 Transylvania University landed in third place at 860. The tournament featured eight teams ranked in the latest Division III Top 25 coaches poll.
Jake Hendelman '28 led Hamilton with five birdies and fired a 2-under-par 69 on Tuesday. The performance tied his career best, which was set just over a week ago in the Hamilton Fall Invitational, for 18 holes. Hendelman finished the tournament at 226 for 54 holes.
Ramon Aroca Gonzalez '26 carded a 75 and was the Continentals' top finisher in a tie for 51
st place out of 120 golfers at 9-over 222.
Jaikrit Bhattacharya '26 added a 75 and ended up at 233 for the tournament.
Wyatt Lupo '29 wrapped up a strong week with a 76. Lupo tied for 64
th place just two shots behind Aroca Gonzalez at 224.
Eric Soderberg '26 matched Lupo's 76 and finished at 230 for the tournament.
Hamilton picks up the 2025-26 season again in late March during spring break.
