CLINTON, N.Y. – Connecticut College's Marco Perugini scored in the 10
th minute and the Camels hung on for a 1-0 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Hamilton's Love Field on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 11.
Season Update
- Hamilton (5-4-3, 1-4-3 NESCAC) was held without a goal for the third straight match.
- Conn. College (5-2-4, 2-2-3) is unbeaten in its last four matches.
How it Happened
- Hamilton had 15 shots to the Camels' seven, but the Continentals could not find a goal despite many close calls.
- Right off the bat Perugini poked the ball into the net at the near post off a low cross from Gavin Vanden Berg.
- Hamilton's Oliver Mylon '29 had a chance to equalize in the 15th minute but his close-range shot was saved by TJ Krongard.
- In the 53rd minute Perugini had another great chance, but Peter Montesano Scheibe '27 denied his effort with an excellent point-blank save – Scheibe's lone stop of the afternoon.

- There were 37 fouls and three yellow cards in this intense matchup.
- The Continentals held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
- Hamilton was ranked 23rd in the first NCAA National Power Index released on Oct. 5.
