SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Hamilton College received goals from three different players and the Continentals posted a 3-1 non-conference win over the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds at Skidmore's Wagner Park on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 30.
Season Update
- The 10th-ranked Continentals (7-2 overall) picked up their third win in a row and finished their 2025 non-conference schedule with a perfect 5-0 record.
- Skidmore (5-5) dropped to 1-3 at home this fall.
How It Happened
- After the Thoroughbreds took a 1-0 lead on a Mia Angwin goal a little less than four minutes into the first quarter, Isabelle Nahon '27 drew Hamilton even after a penalty corner with 8:13 remaining in the second. Olivia Waruch '28 inserted the ball to Claire Tratnyek '26 at the arch and she slid it over to Brighton McMahon '29 on the right-post goal line. McMahon passed it to Nahon, who carried it on her reverse and pulled it back to her forehand before beating a defender. Nahon's shot from distance went past the goalie's left pad and into the net.
- Alden Duserick '27 gave Hamilton the lead on a penalty stroke goal with 22 seconds left in the first half. Duserick ripped a shot into the bottom-left corner and beat the Skidmore goalie. The penalty stroke was awarded immediately after a shot by Becky Felker '26 hit the post and another shot by Alexis Glasofer '29 was stopped by Nicole Sylvestri (eight saves).
- Felker gave the Continentals an important insurance goal with 5:27 left in the third quarter. Sammy Higgins '26 inserted the ball on a corner across the circle to Nahon, who settled the ball and slid it to Morgan Clarke '28 for a sweeping one-timer. Clarke's shot flew through the circle and found the stick of Felker for a one-touch redirection past the goalie's right pad into the cage.
Notes
- Duserick had three of the Continentals' 11 shots on goal. She has three goals this year.
- Kelly Janssen '28 turned away all three shots she faced in the second half, including two late in the third quarter.
