NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Hamilton College's
Nick Kent '27 posted a goal and two assists in the Continentals' 4-1 win against the Norwich University Cadets in the championship game of the Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament played inside Norwich's Kreitzberg Arena on Saturday night, Jan. 4.
Season Update

- The Cadets (4-4-3) have a 3-1-2 record in the New England Hockey Conference.
How It Happened
- The Continentals jumped on top early for the second time in this tournament after Norwich was called for too many players on the ice just 37 seconds into the first period. Devon de Vries '27 passed from the faceoff dot in the left circle to Grisha Gotovets '25, who was in the low slot for the redirect at 1:59 of the first.
- Hamilton made it 2-0 at 3:19 in the second period. Kent controlled the puck along the right-side boards and passed to Carson Hall '26 in the high slot. Hall went down to one knee and crushed a one-timer past the goaltender.
- Kent provided a three-goal cushion with 6:19 left in the second. Jackson Krock '26 won a faceoff in the Continentals' offensive zone and the puck eventually ended up on Kent's stick. His wrist shot from above the right faceoff circle found its way to the back of the net.
- Anthony Domina put the Cadets on the scoreboard with 1:53 remaining in the middle period. Colin Elliott and Harris Hilfiker had the assists.
- Ryan Sordillo '27 restored Hamilton's three-goal advantage with 8:41 to go in the third period. The Continentals attempted a long pass up the right side from their defensive zone and the puck was deflected by a linesman in the neutral zone. The loose puck was picked up by de Vries in the attacking zone and he passed to Sordillo at the point. Sordillo skated into the slot and scored on a wicked wrist shot.
