WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Hamilton College's
Nathaniel Taft '27 took first place in two events in a tri-meet with Middlebury College and nationally ranked Williams College at Williams' Samuelson-Muir Pool on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25.
Taft won the 100-yard freestyle (46.38 seconds) and the 200 free (1:40.19). He finished more than three seconds ahead of the runner-up in the 200.
Taft anchored Hamilton's 200 free relay to second place (1:24.70), just eight one-hundredths of a second behind Williams. His 50-yard split time of 20.26 seconds was the fastest of any swimmer in the event.
The Continentals host Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Saturday, Feb. 1 in their only meet at Bristol Pool this season. Hamilton will honor its four seniors prior to the meet, which starts at 1 p.m.
