MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Hamilton College's
Kendall Harris '27 netted a game-high 26 points and the Continentals held off the Wesleyan University Cardinals for a 68-61 NESCAC win inside Wesleyan's Silloway Gymnasium on Friday, Jan. 17.

- Hamilton (13-3, 2-0 NESCAC) has won six of its last seven contests.

How It Happened
- The Continentals scored the first 10 points and led the entire way.
- Wesleyan scored its opening basket 4:54 into the first quarter.
- Taylor Lambo '26 converted a layup and gave the Continentals a 16-7 advantage with 1:22 to go.
- The Cardinals closed out the first with five straight points and narrowed their deficit to five at 16-11.
- Hamilton made a statement and started the second quarter with a 15-2 run for an 18-point lead at 31-13 with 3:11 left.
- Wesleyan responded with a 10-3 spurt and trimmed the margin to 11 points at 34-23 at the break.
- The Continentals struggled offensively in the third quarter, and the Cardinals pulled within one point at 40-39 with less than two minutes remaining.
- Tessa Cole '25 and Harris buried baskets in the final 49 seconds for a 44-39 edge heading into the final quarter.
- Harris netted a 3-pointer and finally put the Continentals back up by double-digits at 60-50 with 4:12 to go.
- The Cardinals rallied for the next seven points and made it a one-possession game at 60-57 with just under two minutes left.
- Hamilton hit 6-for-8 at the line in the final 38 seconds and clinched the victory.

- Harris finished 9-of-16 from the floor, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. She is fifth in the NESCAC with 15.0 points per game.
- Lambo added 16 points, nine rebounds and a career-high seven assists.
- Abbey Schwoebel '27 had eight points and seven boards.
- Althea Hill '26 contributed seven points and two steals.
- Cole tallied five assists and grabbed nine rebounds.
- Felicia Fongemie led Wesleyan with 16 points and five assists.
- Tori DaCosta added 14 points while Olivia Quinn had 13 and pulled down seven rebounds.
- Hamilton shot 41.8 percent (23-55) from the floor, including 6-of-19 from 3-point territory, and 80 percent (16-20) at the line.
- Wesleyan shot 41.5 percent (22-53) from the field, including 6-of-16 from beyond the arc, and went a perfect 11-for-11 at the charity stripe.
- The Continentals held a 40-22 advantage on the glass, which helped lead to 13 second-chance points.
