CLINTON, N.Y. – Colby College's Georgia Pettygrove scored 1:11 into the sudden-victory overtime period and the Mules recorded a 3-2 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink on Friday night, Jan. 10.

How It Happened

  • The Mules won the faceoff at the start of the three-on-three overtime and took two shots that were saved by Teagan Brown '27. Pettygrove gathered a loose puck in Hamilton's defensive zone, skated to the high slot and ended the game with a wrist shot.

  • The Continentals took a 1-0 lead 9:31 into the first period. Crowley won an offensive zone faceoff and the puck ended up on the stick of Sophia Rodham '27 above the left faceoff circle. Rodham drifted towards the point and sent a wrist shot through a maze of seven players just inside the left post.
  • Breanna Studley tied the score with 3:36 remaining in the first and Lizzy Hamel gave Colby a 2-1 edge with 8:05 to go in the second period.
