ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca batters had 13 hits and drew 10 walks as the Bombers held on for a 12-11 non-conference win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Ithaca's Freeman Field on Tuesday, April 9.
Season Update
• Hamilton (7-11 overall) lost its sixth straight game.
• The Bombers (17-5) won for the ninth time in their last 10 games. Ithaca is receiving votes in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 poll.
How It Happened
• Hamilton scored two runs in the top of the first.
Taylor Kaufman '26 led off with a single to right field and later scored on a single by
Jackson Sattinger '24. Sattinger scored on a sacrifice fly by
Jack Griffin '24.
• Ithaca scored one run in the bottom of the inning, went ahead with four in the second and added three more in the third for an 8-2 lead.
• The Continentals responded with three runs in the top of the sixth and cut their deficit in half. After
Alfonso Rada '27 and
Chester Boynton '27 were hit by a pitch and Kaufman reached on a fielder's choice,
Gianni DiCerbo '27 drove in Rada on another fielder's choice. Sattinger scored Boynton with a sacrifice fly to center field, and
Greg Kopp '25 plated Kaufman with a single to center.
• The Bombers extended their lead to 12-5 in the bottom of the inning with four runs.
• The Continentals again answered with six runs in the top of the eighth and cut Ithaca's lead to one.
Quinn Perkins '25 singled and Sattinger scored Perkins with a single to left. Kopp hit another RBI single, Griffin walked and
Ryan Gawley '27, who pinch ran for Sattinger, scored when
Jackson Johns '24 was hit by a pitch.
Charlie O'Brien '24, who had reached on a fielder's choice, scored on a wild pitch. Griffin scored on an RBI groundout, and Johns made it 12-11 when he scored on a passed ball.
• Although Hamilton loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the ninth, they were unable to score and their comeback effort came up short.

• Perkins recorded his second and third hits of the season.
• Kaufman scored two runs and leads the team in runs scored with 19.
• DiCerbo picked up his second collegiate RBI.
• Sattinger went 2-for-3 and recorded three RBI. He leads the team with 22.

Aden Soroca '27 pitched two scoreless innings and struck out four batters.

Luke Beyer '27 pitched the seventh and allowed one hit, a walk and no runs.
Kenny Rix '25, who pitched the eighth, only allowed a walk in his outing.
• Winning pitcher Dan Kellachan struck out two and hit two batters in one inning of scoreless relief.
• Louis Fabbo went 2-for-3 with three RBI, including a two-run home run.
• Conor Burns worked out of a jam in the ninth and picked up the save.
