CLINTON, N.Y. – Connecticut College came all the way back from a three-goal deficit and the Camels tied the Hamilton College Continentals 3-3 inside Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink on Saturday, Feb. 10.
Season Update
- The eighth-ranked Continentals (13-4-5, 6-4-4 NESCAC) played their 10th overtime game this season. Hamilton has one loss in its last 12 contests.
- Conn. College (7-9-6, 2-9-3) salvaged 1.5 points out of the weekend after the Camels were shut out 2-0 by the Continentals on Friday night.
How It Happened
- Conn. College was on the power play for the last 57 seconds of the third period and the opening 1:03 of overtime. The Camels finished the five-minute extra period with four shots on goal while Hamilton had one. The last shot was Syndey Frank's breakaway chance that Mac Donovan '26 stopped and held onto from point-blank range with just eight seconds left.
- The Continentals dominated the first 30 minutes as they built a three-goal cushion. Hamilton scored its first goal shortly after a 41-second, 5-on-3 advantage expired. The Continentals still had a 5-on-4 opportunity when Lydia Bullock '26 put a shot from the right faceoff circle past the goaltender with 6:48 remaining in the first period.
- Abby Smith '24 made it 2-0 with 47.6 seconds to go in the first about one second before another power play ended. Smith poked the puck into the net following a scrum in the low slot.
- Hamilton appeared to be cruising to a third straight win after Ali Joseph '25 scored 10:21 into the second period. A wrist shot from above the right faceoff circle by Emily Ferguson '24 was tipped by Joseph, who was just outside the crease, under the goaltender. The goal was scored two seconds after a power play expired.
- The Continentals thought they had taken a 4-0 lead 1:12 later, but the goal was disallowed because a Hamilton player was already in the crease when the shot was taken.
- Serena Seiple started the comeback on her goal with 5:03 left in the second. Casey Godfrey pulled Conn. College within one at 9:27 of the third period, and Sydney Cresta tied the score with 5:14 remaining.
