ITHACA, N.Y. – Hamilton College men's swimming and diving finished in third place out of eight teams at the 13
th Ithaca College Bomber Invitational inside Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium on Sunday, Dec. 8.
The Continentals racked up 1,393 points during the three-day event. Ithaca captured the team title with 1,845 points and the University of Rochester was runner-up with 1,435.
Hamilton wrapped up the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay. The members of the relay were
Henry Wiemeyer '26, Alex Vasquez '27, Loui Chambon '28 and
Nathaniel Taft '27. Taft also took first place in the 100 free with an NCAA championships 'B' cut time of 44.75 seconds.
Matthew Chang '28, who broke the school record in the 200 butterfly on Saturday, posted the second-fastest time in the 200 individual medley during Sunday morning preliminary heats and would have challenged teammate
Steven Roche '27 for the top spot in the final. However, Chang ended up swimming in both relays and the 200 backstroke on Sunday night. He was runner-up in the 200 back.
The Continentals have a dual meet at Division I Colgate University on Friday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m.
