ITHACA, N.Y. – Hamilton College swept the two freestyle relays at the 13
th Ithaca College Bomber Invitational inside Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium on Dec. 6 and 7.
The Continentals are in third place out of eight teams with 741 points with one day left in the invitational. The meet wraps up on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Nathaniel Taft '27 was the only Hamilton swimmer in both relay events as he anchored the winning 200- and 800-yard free relays. Taft also captured first place in the 200 free, but tied for seventh place in the 50 free after his goggles filled with water as soon as he dove into the pool.
Matthew Chang '28 recorded the Continentals' other event victory so far in the 200 butterfly as he broke a 30-year-old team record in the event with a time of 1:51.11. The old mark of 1:52.31 had been held by Jacob Michlewicz '95 since Feb. 26, 1994.
