HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College had three players score and the Bantams defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 3-0 in a NESCAC game played inside Trinity's Koeppel Community Sports Center on Saturday, Nov. 23.
Season Update
- The Continentals (0-4-0, 0-4 NESCAC) are ranked 11th in the USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll.
- Trinity (5-0-0, 4-0) shut out Hamilton 2-0 on Friday night. The Bantams are receiving votes in the latest Division III poll.
How It Happened
- Lily Brook opened the scoring for Trinity 4:22 into the first period. Brook claimed a loose puck off the boards near the left faceoff circle and fired an initial shot that was saved by Hamilton's Teagan Brown '27. Brook slipped the rebound between the legs of the goaltender for the 1-0 lead.
- Lillian Cassidy doubled Trinity's lead with a left-handed shot from the blue line with 9:53 left in the first.
- Trinity sealed the victory with 2:49 left in the third period. The Bantams' Ava Gosnell attempted a shot from the slot and the puck eventually deflected off Kate French into the left side of the goal after several bodies crashed the net.
Notes
- Sophie Berghammer '26 and Sophia Testa '26 blocked six shots apiece for the Continentals.
- Brown made a career-high 37 saves and finished with 71 for the two-game weekend series.
- Grace Puskar '27 won 12-of-20 faceoffs.
- Trinity held a 40-19 advantage in shots on goal.
- The Bantams were 0-for-2 on the power play while the Continentals were 0-for-1.
- Madeline Carter collected 19 saves in her second consecutive shutout.
