AMHERST, Mass. – Hamilton College's
Jackson Krock '26 recorded his first career hat trick and the Continentals posted a 5-2 NESCAC win against the Amherst College Mammoths inside Amherst's Orr Rink on Saturday night, Nov. 16.

How It Happened
- The Continentals turned a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead with three goals in the second period.
- Hamilton tied the score with 6:07 left in the second. Luke Tchor '27 took a shot from the bottom of the right faceoff circle and the puck deflected off Krock, who was tied up with a defender just outside the crease, and settled in the back of the net.
- The Continentals went in front for good 56 seconds later. Ryan Brown '25 sent a pass from the bottom of the right faceoff circle to Alex Danis '26 in the slot, and Danis' low wrist shot beat the goaltender through the five hole.
- Krock made it 4-2 with 43 seconds remaining in the period while the teams were skating four-on-four. Tchor forced a turnover behind the Amherst net and sent a centering pass to Krock in the slot. His wrist shot eluded the goaltender high on the glove side.
- Krock sealed the victory on a power-play goal with 5:05 to go in the third period. James Philpott '25 took a shot from the point as Krock was standing at the top of the crease where he tipped the puck out of midair and past the netminder.
- Tchor gave Hamilton a 1-0 lead 7:07 into the first period. The Continentals caused a turnover at their defensive blue line and Krock carried the puck into the attacking zone on a two-on-one. He passed to Tchor in the left faceoff circle for a wicked wrist shot that found the back of the net.
- The Mammoths tied the score on a power-play goal by Zack Jesse 63 seconds later. They grabbed a 2-1 lead with 2:48 left in the first on a goal by Ryan Corcoran.
Notes
- Krock has 10 points (six goals, four assists) in six career games against the Mammoths.
- The last time a Hamilton player scored three goals in a game was Jan. 19, 2024, when Danis did it at Amherst.
- Tchor finished with a goal and a career-best three helpers.
- Krock and Tchor recorded four points apiece. Philpott was the last Continental with four points in a game on Jan. 13, 2023, against Connecticut College.
- Danis tallied his 10th career goal.
- Philpott collected his 42nd career assist at Hamilton.
- Nick Kent '27 registered his first point (assist) with the Continentals.
- Charlie Archer '25 made 21 saves for Hamilton.
- Krock won 14-of-18 faceoffs as the Continentals claimed 29-of-51.
- William Neault '25 led the Hamilton defense with three blocked shots.
- Jesse paced the Amherst offense with a goal and an assist.
- Connor Leslie stopped 19 shots including nine in the first period.
- The Continentals were 1-for-7 on the power play while the Mammoths were 1-for-4.
- Hamilton has won four in a row against Amherst.
