Season Update
- The Continentals (6-5-3 overall) went 2-0-1 in their last three home matches.
- Mount Saint Mary (5-9-3) is 4-3-2 in the Skyline Conference.
How It Happened
- Hamilton established a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute on a goal by Harvey. Lauren Hanna '25 took Hamilton's third corner and sent the ball into the front of the box, where Kate Giglio '28 redirected it with a header to the far post. Harvey then slipped a shot between the left post and Mount Saint Mary's goalkeeper.
- Harvey found the net again in the 15th minute, extending the Continentals' lead to 2-0. Daisy Sullivan '26 gained possession at midfield and passed to Maddie Buck '27, who took advantage of the space and dribbled it up the field. Buck fired an initial shot aimed at the far post, but it was deflected by the goalkeeper. The rebound fell right to Harvey, who charged in and settled the ball into the lower-right corner of the net.
- The Continentals scored again in the 21st minute, this time on a goal by Maddie Ledbury '26. After a clearing attempt by the Knights, Hamilton quickly regained possession about 25 yards out. Hanna sent a sharp pass up the near sideline to Erin Rayhill '25, who delivered a beautifully placed cross near the penalty spot. Ledbury then executed a one-touch, right-footed shot that found the back of the net.
- Hamilton quickly extended its lead to 4-0 just 47 seconds later on another goal by Ledbury. Katie Moses '25 fought hard for possession along the far sideline, pushing the ball up field to create a throw-in opportunity. Buck delivered the throw to Jess Yee '26, who took on her defender, turned and sent a centering pass to the top of the 6-yard box where Ledbury struck another one-touch goal into the lower-right corner.
- Kaitlin Hansen scored Mount Saint Mary's lone goal of the match in the 39th minute, assisted by Grace Morra.
- With a 4-1 cushion at the break, the Continentals wasted no time and added their fifth goal just 12 seconds into the second half thanks to Taryn Gillis '26. Hamilton started the second half with possession and Sarah Flood '27 sent a well-placed pass up the far side of the field to Gillis. Gillis played the bounce and sent a shot from the top-right side of the 18-yard box that found the lower-right corner of the net.
- Rayhill extended the Continentals' lead to 6-1 with a goal in the 55th minute. Hamilton claimed possession from a Knights goal kick, and moved the ball up the field after a series of quick passes through the middle. Samantha Tyska '27 zipped a pass to Rayhill at the top of the 18-yard box, and with a quick move around her defender, Rayhill unleashed a shot into the lower-left corner.
- Harvey put the Continentals ahead 7-1 on a penalty kick goal in the 61st minute. Harvey slipped through a few defenders and was fouled inside the box. She stepped up to take the kick and clinched her first hat trick with 29:52 remaining.
- Hamilton notched its eighth and final goal just one second before the final horn. After earning a free kick just outside the 18-yard box, Lydia DeTraglia '28 took a shot that ricocheted off the crossbar. Sarah Roth '25 was quick to react, charging in to send the rebound straight into the center of the net for the final margin.
