NEW LONDON, Conn. - Connecticut College's Chloe Koubel scored the lone goal in the Camels' 1-0 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Conn. College's Freeman Field on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Season Update
- Hamilton (5-4-2, 2-4-2 NESCAC) was going for its second consecutive NESCAC win after a 5-0 victory over Bates College on Oct. 6.
- The Camels (5-6-0, 2-4 NESCAC) snapped their three-match losing streak.
How It Happened
- Haley Cramer '28 almost connected for the Continentals in the 38th minute after Lydia DeTraglia '28 crossed the ball to the left side of the box, close to the left post. Cramer tried to head the ball into the top-left corner, but Conn. College's Ella Karhl jumped up to gather the shot.
- In the 43rd minute Ella Gazo sent a cross from the right side of the field into the box as it curved toward the goal. Koubel was there to lightly tap the ball into the lower-left corner past Hamilton goalkeeper Nieve Tonna '26.
- The Camels held a 10-5 shot advantage with seven on goal.
- Conn. College owned a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.
Notes
- Tonna made five saves for the Continentals.
- Koubel recorded her second goal of the season.
- Gazo tallied her fourth assist this season.
- Karhl had three saves in her second shutout of the season.
