WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Williams College's Nate Karren tallied 20 points and the Ephs pulled out a 64-63 NESCAC victory against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Williams' Chandler Gymnasium on Saturday, Jan. 6.
Season Update
- Hamilton (6-7, 1-1 NESCAC) had won four of its previous five games.

How It Happened
- Hank Morgan '25 netted a pair of shots at the line and a jump shot on Hamilton's next trip for a 56-54 lead with 6:08 to go.
- All tied up at 58-58, Owen Kane '25 knocked down a 3-pointer with 4:08 left and then buried two shots at the line for a five-point lead with 3:44 remaining.
- The Ephs countered with the next five points and knotted the score at 63-63 with 2:34 to go.
- Williams' Brandon Roughley was fouled on the way to the basket and he made one of two from the line for a 64-63 lead with 1:56 remaining.
- The Continentals had a trio of chances to take the lead again but missed its final three shots.
- Teja Singh '25 nailed a 3-pointer on Hamilton's first possession and Garret Keyhani '26 hit another shot from 3-point land for a 6-2 lead in the opening minute of the first half.
- Will Holmes '27 posted a layup on a pass from Christian McDaniel '24 for a 9-6 edge, but the Ephs rallied with an 11-2 run and held its largest lead at 17-10 with 10:18 left.
- The Continentals cut into their deficit and eventually regained the lead at 27-26 on a Morgan 3-pointer with 2:04 remaining.
- Morgan sunk two shots at the line for a 31-28 advantage with just under a minute to play, but Noah Dinkins converted an old-fashioned 3-point play and the Ephs evened the score at 31-31 with 10 seconds left.
- Neither team led by more than seven points the entire game.
- The contest featured 11 ties and eight lead changes.
- Hamilton shot 41.5 percent (22-53) from the field, including 7 of 20 from beyond the arc, and 12-for-18 at the line.
- Williams shot 38.8 percent (19-49) from the floor, including 5 of 18 from 3-point territory, and went 21-for-29 (72.4 percent) at the line. The Ephs stayed in the game early by going 15-for-20 at the charity stripe in the first half.
- The Continentals carried a 39-30 advantage on the glass.
- The Ehps had a 13-4 advantage in bench points.
Notes
- Morgan finished with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. He is third in the NESCAC with 17.1 points per game.
- Keyhani put up 17 points and six rebounds. He scored 14 in the first half alone.
- Kane and Singh dropped in 10 points apiece.
- Jalen Reese '27 grabbed six boards in his 25 minutes of action.
- Karren led Williams with 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
- Roughley added 12 points and a pair of steals.
- Cole Prowitt-Smith scored 10 points for the Ephs.
