  • The Cardinals (8-6-3, 3-4-2) were coming off a 2-1 victory at then-No. 3 Amherst College on Jan. 21.

How It Happened

  • Ferguson gave Hamilton a 1-0 lead at 5:32 in the first period after a shot by Ali Joseph '25 was off-target. The Continentals held an 11-5 shot advantage in the first.

  • Wesleyan tied the score with 6:02 remaining in the third period on a power-play goal. Teagan Brown '27 stopped a shot by Aimee Seppenwolde but the follow-up by Christina Tournas found the back of the net.
  • The Cardinals received another power-play opportunity with 1:28 to go when one of the Continentals was sent to the box for interference. The advantage extended 32 seconds into sudden-victory overtime but Wesleyan didn't have a single shot attempt.
