CLINTON, N.Y. – Trinity College's Theresa Twardosky scored 15 points off the bench and the Bantams defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 74-46 in a NESCAC game played on Hamilton's Coach Tom Murphy Court inside Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Friday, Jan. 26.
Season Update
- Hamilton (14-6, 2-4 NESCAC) had won its previous three home games.
- Trinity (13-5, 4-1 NESCAC) picked up its fifth straight win.
How It Happened
- Trinity jumped out to a 6-2 lead with 8:06 left in the first quarter.
- Hamilton countered with a 9-0 run for an 11-6 advantage with 4:16 remaining. Kendall Harris '27, Althea Hill '26, Taylor Lambo '26 and Courtney Shay '24 all scored during the spurt.
- The Bantams quickly responded with nine straight points and closed out the quarter on a 13-1 run for a 19-12 advantage.
- Trinity opened up the second quarter with a 3-ball, but Emily Hall '24 slashed the Bantams' lead to eight points at 22-14 with 9:02 to go.
- The Bantams outscored the Continentals 24-9 in the quarter and held a 43-21 lead at the break.
- Hamilton outscored Trinity by one in the third quarter, but the Bantams continued to hold a comfortable double-digit lead.
- Trinity got out to its largest lead of 30 points at 68-38 with 5:42 left in the final frame.
- Hamilton shot 30.2 percent (16-53) from the field, including 4 of 16 from beyond the arc, and 55.6 percent (10-18) at the charity stripe.
- Trinity shot 40.9 percent (27-66) from the floor, including 41.2 percent (7-17) from 3-point range, and went 13-for-18 at the line.
- Trinity picked up 32 points from its bench and collected 26 points in the paint.
- The Bantams owned a 47-35 advantage on the glass.

- Lambo tallied her seventh double-double of the season with a team-high 14 points and 10 rebounds.
- Hall contributed eight points, six boards and two assists.
- Maria Mercado Rengel '24 added nine points off the bench.
- Harris chipped in seven points.
- In addition to the points, Twardosky made four of Trinity's eight steals.
- Bria Fuller registered 13 points for the Bantams.
