CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College's
Emma Tansky '25 and the Continentals split a NESCAC doubleheader with the Trinity College Bantams at Hamilton's Loop Road Athletic Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Season Update
- Hamilton (16-14, 6-8 NESCAC) earned the split with a 7-2 win in Game 2.
- Trinity (8-12, 3-5) took a 10-5 triumph in Game 1.
Game 1
How It Happened
- The Bantams plated three runs in the opening frame on four hits and an error.
- Hamilton took a 4-3 lead with four runs in the bottom half of the second. Natalie Beebe '24 singled up the middle, advanced to third on a double by Charlie Quinn '25 and scored on a Trinity throwing error. Alison Zorn '26 plated Quinn on a single to right field. Ella Heftved '25 knocked in Mikayla Worzel '23 with a groundout and Katlynn McGivney '23 drove in Zorn with a ground ball to third base.
- Trinity evened the score with a run in the fourth on two infield singles and an error. The Bantams took the lead with another run in the sixth on two hits.
- The Continentals knotted the score at 5-5 in the bottom half. Beebe led off with a single to right field, advanced to second on a passed ball and then took third base on a wild pitch. With the bases loaded, Heftved scored Samantha Smith '23, who pinch ran for Beebe, on a fielder's choice to shortstop.
- The Bantams scored five runs in the seventh inning on six hits. Alyssa Gazivoda's two-run homer and Abigail Alper's two-run single with two outs were the two big hits.

- Beebe and Tansky led Hamilton at the plate with two hits apiece.
- Heftved plated a team-best two runs.
- Zorn tallied her fourth stolen base of the season.
- Quinn recorded her fifth double of the season and her first stolen base.
- Worzel singled and stole her first base of the season.
- Taylor Mikolajczak, Kennedy Rogers and Alper contributed three hits each for Trinity.
- Alper had three RBI and Rogers and Gazivoda drove in two runs apiece.
- Tiffany Stowers plated a run on two hits including a double. She picked up her eighth win of the season with three earned runs, seven hits, two walks and four strikeouts.
- Beebe collected six strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched.
Game 2
How It Happened
- Hamilton took a 1-0 lead with two outs in the second inning. Jordan Merklin walked and Alexis Mayer '26 tripled to left center.
- Trinity countered with a run in the next inning on two hits and a walk.
- The Continentals regained the lead with a three-run inning in the bottom half. Zorn led off with a single, advanced to second on a groundout and then third on a single by Tansky. With two outs, Beebe hit a two-run triple to right field and eventually scored on a single through the left side by Quinn.
- Hamilton kept offensive momentum with another three runs in the fourth. Mayer was hit by a pitch, Hadley Rogers '26 singled to left and Zorn roped a two-run double to the gap in right center. McGivney plated Zorn on a groundout for a 7-1 advantage.
- The Bantams added one last run on a homer by Mikolajczak in the sixth inning.
- Tansky retired the side in order in the top of the seventh inning.
