Loh '23 scores twice in No. 6 women's hockey win at Conn. College

Continentals tied the team record for wins in a season with 16

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Hamilton College's Nancy Loh '23 scored two goals and the Continentals posted a 3-1 NESCAC win against the Connecticut College Camels at Conn. College's Dayton Arena on Friday night.
 
Season Update
Nationally ranked No. 6 Hamilton (16-3-2, 10-2-1 NESCAC) tied the team single-season record for wins in a season. The 15th-ranked Camels (12-8-1, 6-6-1) had won their previous four games.
 
How It Happened
  • Loh put the Continentals in the lead for good at 2-1 with 7:00 left in the second period. Claire McGennis '24 and Maddie Hong '23 picked up the assists.
  • Conn. College received a power play with 5:58 remaining in the third period and pulled their goaltender in favor of an extra skater with 2:25 to go. The Camels put eight shots on goal in the final four minutes but didn't put any past Evie Sheridan '26.
  • Loh sealed the victory on an empty-net goal with 2:00 left. Hong had the assist.
  • McGennis gave Hamilton a 1-0 edge at 9:27 of the first period. Abby Kuhns '23 and Hyla Mosher '23 collected the assists.
  • Melanie Conca drew Conn. College even 4:15 into the second period on an assist from Caroline O'Keefe.
 
Notes
  • Sheridan made 13 of her 24 saves in the third period.
  • Loh leads the team with 15 goals.
  • McGennis is tied for the team lead with 12 assists.
  • Hong registered her third career multi-assist game.
  • Kuhns is tied with McGennis for the team lead with 12 assists.
  • Mosher won 15 of 26 faceoffs in addition to her ninth helper.
  • Abby Wieczorek stopped 25 shots for the Camels.
  • Both teams were 0-for-1 on the power play.
