ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Hamilton College Continentals finished in third place out of 10 teams in the 12th edition of the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca College's Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium on Sunday, Dec. 3.
The invitational got underway on Dec. 1 and there were 19 swimming events and two diving events held during the course of the three days.
Nathaniel Taft '27 won the men's 200-yard freestyle with a team-record time of 1:40.52, which smashed the old record time of 1:42.06 by more than a second. D.J. Postles '00 had held that record since late February 1999. Taft already broke the team records in the 50 and 100 free on Nov. 19 at Bristol Pool.
Jack Jee '24 captured first place in the 100 individual medley with another team-record performance of 52.47 seconds. Reid Swartz '15 held the old record of 52.88 seconds since 2014. Jee owns team records in the 100 and 200 IM and the 50 and 100 butterfly.
The Continentals host Division I Colgate University at Bristol Pool for a dual meet on Friday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.
