CLINTON, N.Y. – Trine University's Bobby Price scored 58 seconds into the sudden-victory overtime period and pushed the Thunder to a 4-3 non-conference win against the Hamilton College Continentals inside the Clinton Arena on Friday, Dec. 29.
Season Update
- Hamilton (7-2 overall) received votes in the most recent USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll.
- Trine (11-2) is ranked 14th in the same poll. One of the Thunder's two losses was to the Continentals – 4-0 at SUNY Canton on Nov. 26.
How It Happened
- Trine's Sam Antenucci won the opening faceoff of overtime and eventually Michael DiPietra was stopped by Nadler from point-blank range. Price followed up the rebound right outside the crease and laced it into the left side of the net.
- With 2:12 remaining in the third period, Trine traded goaltender Kyle Kozma for an extra skater. The Thunder evened the score at 3-3 with 1:29 left on a deflection goal by Matteo Ybarra after an initial shot by Price.
- Trine opened the scoring 3:53 into the first period with a goal in transition by Jack Cooper on assists by Tim Organ and Jackson Clark.
- Tyler Blanchard extended Trine's lead just 1:07 into the middle frame on a goal from the high slot just six seconds after its power play ended.
- Hamilton cut its deficit midway through the second period on a goal by Devon de Vries '27. Trine took a faceoff win in Hamilton's attack zone but Max Bulawka '26 raced to the puck along the right boards and sent it in the direction of the Thunder's goal. The puck deflected off a defender's skate into the slot and de Vries blasted a shot that beat Kozma top shelf.
- The Continentals knotted the score at 2-2 as Luke Tchor '27 ripped a rebound goal with 1:20 left in the second. Ben Zimmerman '26 sent a pass up to Lucas Constantine '27 who fired a shot from the top of the right circle. Tchor claimed the leftovers on a tap-in from the left side.
- Hamilton took a 3-2 lead 6:49 into the third period. Brad Holcomb '27 fought off three defenders along the boards and slipped the puck to the top of the right faceoff circle. Logan Greene '24 sent a beautiful pass to Grisha Gotovets '25 outside the crease for the Continentals' first lead.

- de Vries scored the third goal of his rookie season.
- Bulawka grabbed his seventh assist of the season and leads the Continentals with 12 points.
- Tchor leads the team with six goals and is second in points with 11.
- Constantine and Green dished out their second assists of the season.
- Zimmerman passed out his fifth assist of the season and led Hamilton with 13 faceoff wins.
- Holcomb registered his first collegiate point.
- Nadler boasted a career-best 28 saves including 14 in the third period.
- Kozma turned away 20 shots for the Thunder.
- Hamilton finished with 17 blocked shots.
