CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College's
Grace Crowley '26 scored two power-play goals and
Mac Donovan '26 made 23 saves in the Continentals' 4-0 win over the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs inside Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Season Update
- The sixth-ranked Continentals (1-2 overall) recorded their first win after a pair of one-goal setbacks against No. 2 Amherst College over the weekend.
- Morrisville (3-4) has a 2-3 record in the State University of New York Athletic Conference.
How It Happened
- Crowley's first power-play goal came 5:56 into the first period. Sami Quackenbush '24 took a wrist shot from the point that bounced off some players in front. Grace Puskar '27 poked the loose puck to Crowley and she batted it in from the top of the crease.
- Bobbi Roca '24 made it a two-goal game 4:15 into the second period. Roca batted in a rebound after Maggie Jones stopped shots by Emily Ferguson '24 and Lydia Bullock '26.
- Hamilton still owned a 2-0 lead about five minutes into the third period when Donovan made a fantastic save on a one-timer from the slot by Hailee Easson.
- Claire McGennis '24 gave the Continentals some insurance with 5:56 left in the third on another power-play goal. McGennis, who was positioned near the right post, tipped a wrist shot by Bullock from the top of the right faceoff circle.
- Crowley completed the scoring with 1:17 remaining on an empty-net goal during another power play. She put the puck in the back of the net on a shot from just outside Hamilton's offensive zone near center ice.
