CLINTON, N.Y. – Wesleyan University's Michelle Jorba recorded 11 kills and four blocks in the Cardinals' three-set win (25-20, 25-16, 25-21) against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday, Oct. 28.

- Hamilton (10-9, 4-6 NESCAC) is the No. 7 seed for the upcoming 2023 NESCAC Volleyball Championship.
- Wesleyan (19-1, 10-0) clinched the championship's top seed. The Cardinals are ranked 15th in the AVCA Division III Top 25 poll.
How It Happened
- Clinging to a 9-8 edge in the first set, Wesleyan took the next three points on a pair of kills by Kathryn Morton and a Hamilton attacking error for a 12-8 lead. The Cardinals extended their advantage to 17-11 after a 4-0 run. Hamilton pulled within 23-20 after the Continentals ran off four straight points, but Wesleyan finished the set with back-to-back kills by Jorba and Mariko Tanaka.
- The Continentals carried a 6-3 advantage in the second set after four combined kills by Kate Carman '24, Caitlin Allen '27, and Elodie McGeiver '27, a service ace by Melissa Morelli '24 and a block by Allen. The score was tied at 11-11 before the Cardinals collected eight of the next 10 points for a 19-13 lead. The Cardinals eventually widened their lead to nine points at 23-14. After two points by Hamilton, Wesleyan clinched the set on a kill by Jorba and blocks by Jorba and Tanaka.
- The Continentals ran off four consecutive points on Cardinals errors and owned a 13-7 lead in the third set. Wesleyan quickly answered with a 4-0 run of their own. Hamilton kept battling at the net, and a kill by Drew Stimson '25 and blocks by McGeiver and Stimson gave the Continentals an 18-16 advantage. The Cardinals took the lead for good at 21-18 after they rattled off five points in a row. Wesleyan clinched the match on a kill by Tanaka.

- Morelli tallied 25 assists and a career-high 18 digs.
- Rylee Bergeron '26 had 15 digs and served two aces. Bergeron is sixth in the NESCAC with 4.65 digs per set.
- Bianca Ortiz came up with 26 digs, Tanaka posted six blocks, and Morton served three aces for the Cardinals.
- Sophia Lindus chipped in 10 kills and 13 digs.
