AMHERST, Mass. – Three Amherst College players scored and the Mammoths posted a 3-0 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Amherst's Gooding Field on Saturday.
Season Update
• Hamilton (7-4-3, 3-4-3 NESCAC)) received votes in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Top 25 poll. The Continentals are in a three-way tie for sixth place with Tufts and Connecticut College in the conference standings with 12 points. Hamilton has finished its NESCAC schedule while the other 10 teams have one match left. The top eight teams advance to the conference championship.
• Amherst (12-1-1, 7-1-1) is ranked seventh in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
How It Happened
• Amherst scored just 3:15 into the opening half on a header by Patience Kum after a free-kick taken by Carter Hollingsworth.
• The Mammoths extended their lead in the 28th minute on a goal by Abby Schwartz.

Olivia Zubarik '25 fired a shot in the 56th minute but it was stopped by Amherst's Lulu Fickes.
• Brooke Ingemi added an insurance goal 2:23 into the second half on a pass from Kate Quigley to the front doorstep.
• Amherst outshot Hamilton 25-11 with 10 on target.
• The Mammoths carried a 4-3 edge on corner kicks.

• Zubarik had four of Hamilton's five shots on goal.

• Schwartz tallied a team-high eight shots for Amherst while Precious Novidzro registered seven.
