CLINTON, N.Y. – Bowdoin College's Laila Nickelson and Stephanie Christians connected for goals in the second half as the Polar Bears fought from behind for a 3-1 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Hamilton's Love Field on Saturday, Oct. 14.

How It Happened
- Hamilton made a statement with a goal just 1:05 into the opening half. Abby Douglass '27 took a throw-in and Olivia Morrow '24 tipped it back over to Douglass who crossed it into the middle of the box. Sarah Flood '27 caught it with her right foot and kicked the second touch high and over the hands of Bowdoin's Charlotte Iannone off the left post.
- The Continentals nearly doubled their lead in the 17th minute on a smooth header by Morrow that sailed just wide.
- Bowdoin's Greta Farkas evened the score in the 22nd minute on a free-kick goal from right outside the box.
- Bowdoin took a 2-1 lead on Nickelson's goal powered by a corner kick with 24:29 remaining in the second half.
- The Polar Bears scored their third and final goal on a penalty kick by Christians after a Hamilton foul in the box in the 83rd minute.
- Bowdoin outshot Hamilton 14-13 and carried a 5-3 advantage on corner kicks.
